Fit and Furry!
Weight: 240 lbs.
Height: 6 foot 2 inches
no current exercise program, though I had been biking around 6 miles a day.
need to pick up and restart biking. I also need to restart lifting and more cardio
anybody have advice?.
I would like to reach a much lower body fat.
If you're depressed, I'd suggest getting more sunlight and changing your diet. Cut down on caffeine and sugar - anything that adds to highs and lows. Eat more omega three fattys (eggs, fish, or flax) and fruits and veggies. When you burn off your fat, it will release toxins stored there into your bloodstream, so try to have a clean intake. Eat within an hour of waking - otherwise your body goes into starvation mode and stores more as body fat. Green tea and anti-oxidants helps too.
OK, now that you are not depressed and are eating better - stick to a schedule. Bike, if you like to bike. Hike/walk at a fast pace. I suggest a split training of cardio in the mornings and weights in the evening. 4 days a week. (or visa versa) That's the formula in a nutshell. Go easy to start. Move your body in all planes and challenge yourself when your body thinks it has it down. Use muscle-confusion, but not at the beginning, your body will be confused enough just with the basics.
Will have to get started on that this week. have to make a shopping list of things for healthier diet.
